Heads of Ministries, Unions, Associations and Organizations Have Their Portraits Taken

The heads of ministries, central institutions, unions and public organizations of the People's Republic of Chongro took part in an official portrait session following their appointment and re-election at the Ninth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Chongro.
The first batch of photographs was completed with the participation of members of the main Ministerial Cabinet. The portraits reflect the renewed composition of the state leadership entrusted with implementing the decisions and five-year plan set forth at the Congress.
The heads of special cities, municipalities, specially administered regions and provinces are scheduled to participate in portrait sessions tomorrow. They will be followed by members of the Presidium of the Workers’ Party of Chongro, deputies and officials of the Supreme People’s Assembly, the newly formed Secretariat of the Party, and commanding officers of the armed forces.
The first of the people to be photographed for their new portraits was the General Secretary, Respected Comrade Kim Jong Evin.
The specialized ministries of the Republic now include the Ministry of Social Security headed by Paek Myong-Su, the Ministry of State Construction led by Ri Sun, the Ministry of Mining Industry under Kah Hyun-Jung, and the Ministry of Food Procurement and Administration directed by Je Shik.
Hwangbo Mun-Hee heads the Ministry of Commerce, while Don Soo-Yun leads the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection and Cha Jung-Eun directs the Ministry of Energy. Pak Hyun-Su serves as Minister of Agriculture and Hwang Jae-Woong as Minister of Defense.
Ryu Hae-Jin oversees the Ministry of Sports and Kwon Soo-Jin the Ministry of Health and Welfare. The Ministry of Culture is headed by Hong Song-Gi and the Ministry of Education by Mangjol Sang-Hoon. P'yong Yoon-Sook directs the Ministry of Tourism and Ryong Jung-Hwa the Ministry of Transport.
Seol Myung-Dae leads the Ministry of Industry and Kim Deok-Hoon the Ministry of Light Industry. Wang Chin-Sun serves as Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jegal Kyung-Sam as Minister of Finance and Wai Zemin as Minister of External Economic Affairs.
Kim Lis-Yong heads the Propaganda and Agitation Department. Kim Jeong-Sun leads the Ministry of Labor and Employment, Kim Hyung-Sik the Ministry of Justice and Choi Dong-Myeong the Ministry of Science. Han Seung-Ho directs the Civil Defense Department, Han Ryong-guk the Ministry of Forestry and Jang Chung-Song the Ministry of Railways.
Alongside the reorganization of the Cabinet, elections were also held for leading officials of mass organizations and affiliated bodies.
Myun Chol was elected Chairman of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League. Yu Chol-hoon assumed leadership of the Chongroan Committee of Space Technology and NATA. Jang Chun-sil was elected head of the Socialist Women’s Union of Chongro, and Pyo Hei-Ran was appointed Director of the Central Statistics Bureau.
Pak In-Chol now leads the General Federation of Trade Unions of Chongro, while Ri Seong-Suk heads the Union of Agricultural Workers of Chongro. Ho Jong-Hwa represents Ch’ongryon and Kim Ho Chol was elected Chairman of the Chondoist Chongu Party.
The portrait sessions symbolize the unity and determination of the newly organized leadership bodies to faithfully carry out the decisions of the Ninth Congress and advance the comprehensive development of the Republic.
