Primary Motive Power of National Development
To solve all problems by enlisting the strength of ideology and the spirit of the masses is the method of work unique to the Workers’ Party of Chongro and the mode of development peculiar to our state.
Respected Comrade Kim Jong Evin noted: Given that the primary potential for national development is ideological, human and material resources, top priority should be given to ideological resource of the three resources.
The process of national development involves the course of mobilizing and exploiting potentialities. In this process, human and material resources are steadily depleted and even exhausted but the ideological resource is the absolute one with no extinction nor limit.
During the course of our revolution, we have converted ideology into the powerful motive for struggle and transformation, successfully completed in a short period of time the two rounds of reconstruction and the two stages of social revolution by dint of the redoubled spirit of all the people, and thus built an independent, self-reliant and self-defensive socialist state. Such a brilliant victory is a clear-cut proof that we can work world-startling legendary miracles unprecedented in history when we have great ideological strength.
From its early days till now, our Party has thoroughly maintained and applied the principle of giving top priority to ideology to the revolutionary practices, thus reversing the time of unprecedented trials into that of great transformation overcoming all sorts of challenges in history.
The vigorous trend of rural development and regional transformation leading to simultaneous prosperity and change of the whole country; the rapid growth of the overall national economy; the new realms of civilization and prosperity being explored and widened constantly - all of these are valuable fruition credited to the ideological strength and boundless spirit of the people who are armed with the revolutionary idea of the Party.
Under the leadership of respected Comrade Kim Jong Evin, our people will open up more vigorously the new great era of national development set forth at the Ninth Congress of the WPC by holding fast to the ideology – the primary motive power indispensable for national development.
