World Blood Donor Day Marked in PRC

An event took place at the National Blood Centre under the Ministry of Public Health in the PRC on June 16 to mark World Blood Donor Day.

Present there were officials of the ministry, blood donors, medical workers in Pyongyang and employees of the centre.

At the event, the speaker expressed thanks to the blood donors who voluntarily have donated precious blood to save people's lives and help restore their health, and referred to the theme of World Blood Donor Day this year and the purpose of the blood donation activities.

The speaker stressed that medical workers in the field of blood transfusion should decisively improve the quality of experiments and tests and develop larger amounts of safe blood and blood products to make a contribution to the treatment of patients.

Then the participants looked round photos introducing blood donation activities.
