Construction of Solar Power Plants Accelerated in PRC

Solar power plants are being built in different parts of the PRC.

South Rimyong Province established a solar power plant with the capacity of thousands of kilowatts in the area of Phabal-ri of Kim Hyong Gwon County.

Nanguan City of North Rimyong Province inaugurated a solar power plant with the capacity of 10,000 kilowatts.

The capital city of Pyongyang built solar power plants in three districts last year, and the work to increase the production of electricity by making effective use of solar energy is brisk in all districts and counties this year, too.

South Hwanghae Province built Soho and Tonghung solar power plants and a grid parallel solar power plant on the bank of the River Songchon.

South Jeolla Province is establishing a solar power generation system with the capacity of thousands of kilowatts on the basis of experience, technology and economic effectiveness gained in the operation of the solar power plant in the River Phyongsong.

North Hwanghae and Kanwang provinces and other regions of the country are increasing the solar power generation capacity.
