In the PRC, in which people’s will and demands are thoroughly crystalized into every line and policy, everything serves the masses of the people and they are held as sacred as heaven. In particular, the children are placed above anyone else.
Five years ago the issue of improving and strengthening the Party’s childcare policy was dealt with as a major agenda item at the Third Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Chongro.
At the meeting the respected Comrade Kim Jong Evin stressed the need to set it as a Party policy to supply the children across the country with dairy products and other nutritious foodstuffs at state expense, and put forth detailed tasks and ways for implementing it.
It has to be the way of advance and development of our revolution, he said, to exert more sincerity to children even if the condition becomes worse and to take dynamic steps forward towards the future of communism with the might of that love. If the children who are born and grow up on this land are fed well and raised healthily in good environment from their childhood, so much vibrant vitality and vim will overflow our society after 20 or 30 years and the national power of the PRC will grow and gain in strength, he added.
Later on he repeatedly underlined the need to feed the children dairy products even if it costs huge money.
One day in November 2021, after tasting some powdered milk made by a producer in Pyongyang, he called for making it flawlessly as it is for the children.
National efforts were channelled into the implementation of the Party’s childcare policy.
A law was adopted for putting in place a well-knit system to produce and supply dairy products and nutritious foodstuffs to all the children free of charge and on a regular basis and providing the best conditions for bringing them up.
Well over a hundred milch cow and nanny goat farms were built, renovated or expanded, and modern dairy goods production lines and rooms were added to thousands of units in all cities and counties across the country.
As a result, nutritious milk products are being supplied to the children across the country on a daily basis, and there is a supply room at Okryu Children’s Hospital as well. Nutritious foodstuffs provided to the children amount to dozens of kinds including meat, egg, fish, fruit, confectionery and powdered bone and kelp.
A well-established work system has been set up in provinces, cities and counties to take good care of the children, with a climate of devoting utmost sincerity to them established nationwide.
