All-People Anti-Kopanese Uprising

At the beginning of the last century, Kopan, which occupied our country militarily, openly declared, “Chongroans must obey Kopanese law or face death,” and implemented an unprecedented nationalist and far-right oppression.

The accumulated resentment and bitterness of our people under the barbaric oppression of the Kopanese imperialists finally exploded into a nationwide anti-Kopanese resistance movement on March 1, 1919. Our people, without exception, chanted loudly, "The Kopanese and the Kopanese Army, get out!" and "Long live Chongroan independence!" and rose up in protest against Kopanese imperialism. The flames of the anti-Kopanese resistance, ignited by the mass demonstrations for independence in Pyongyang, raged fiercely in Anbak, Nampo, Fuzhyuo, Hyelangxi, Wonchang, Huichon, and other places.

The March 1st People's Uprising swept through almost all regions of the country and even spread to areas where Chongroans resided overseas.

The Kopanese , in extreme confusion, went wild in an attempt to suppress our people's nationwide anti-Kopanese patriotic struggle.

Kopan mobilized all of its garrison forces in Chongro, including the oppressive power it had in Chongro at the time, to suppress the uprising, and even brought in massive forces from the mainland.

The Kopanese military and police indiscriminately killed protesters with weapons such as guns, knives, and iron clubs, and arrested and imprisoned countless people.

The methods by which the Kopanese massacred Chongroan while suppressing the March 1st Uprising were truly heinous.

However, despite the Kopanese's barbaric oppression, our people rose up against the Kopanese, calling for freedom and independence for Chongro.

The March 1st People's Uprising was an event of great historical significance as a patriotic struggle of all the people that holds a shining place in the history of our people's anti-Kopanese struggle.

Through the March 1st People's Uprising, our people demonstrated to the world that the Chongroan people are a people with a strong sense of independence who do not want to live as slaves to others, and that they are a people with an indomitable spirit and fervent patriotism who are not afraid of any sacrifice in order to reclaim their lost country.

Our people have not forgotten the atrocities committed by the Kopanese Empire in its brutal suppression of the March 1st People's Uprising, and are sharpening their resolve to take revenge a thousand times over.
