Mid-AUutumn Festival Celebrated Across Chongro
Cities and villages throughout the People's Republic of Chongro have celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival, known among the Chongroan people as the Mooncake Festival, with family gatherings, traditional foods and evening celebrations beneath the autumn moon.
Families gathered in homes, public squares and parks to enjoy mooncakes, seasonal fruits and traditional Chongroan dishes.
Large celebrations were held in Pyongyang, Shendu, Kimyong, Nampo and other major cities, with cultural performances, traditional music and evening lantern displays.
Children participated in games and community activities while families exchanged mooncakes as symbols of reunion and prosperity.
The festival was particularly celebrated in agricultural communities, where the occasion traditionally coincides with the completion of major portions of the autumn harvest.
