The Gravest of Provocations Will Be Met With Fire and Fury

The Supreme Command of the Chongroan People's Army released a special statement today concerning the grave situation developing in Aurlinia following repeated acts of hostility, unlawful attacks against Chongroan personnel and facilities, and the complete collapse of normal political dialogue.

The statement declared that the People's Republic of Chongro now considers itself to be in a state of armed conflict with the Aurlinian authorities.

According to the statement, the decision was taken after the reported destruction of Chongroan military facilities in Aurlinia, the targeting of CPA personnel, the continued alignment of the Aurlinian government with foreign military blocs hostile to the Republic, and what the Supreme Command described as the abandonment of neutrality by the authorities in Londinium.

The Aurlinian leadership is deliberately escalating tensions while refusing all proposals aimed at preserving peace and stability.

"The Chongroan people did not seek conflict," the statement from the CPA Aurlinian Division read. "Yet no sovereign state can remain passive while its service personnel are attacked, its facilities destroyed and its efforts for peace answered with threats and aggression."

The Supreme Command announced that the CPA Oakshade Division had begun the first phase of military operations.

According to military sources, units of the Oakshade Division, supported by Special Operative Force detachments that had arrived in the region several days earlier, have been ordered to advance toward key administrative centers and government institutions.

Military officials stated that the primary objective of the operation is the restoration of order and the neutralization of what they described as "hostile elements directing anti-Chongroan actions."

Unmanned aerial systems, the F406 drones developed by the PRC's defense industry had entered operational service for the first time, which were developed fully near the end of May.

The newly introduced drones were described as representing a major milestone in the modernization of the CPA and as evidence of the growing scientific and technological capabilities of the People's Republic. Military authorities stated that strikes against military objectives and command facilities would commence immediately.

The Supreme Command emphasized that military operations would be directed against military and governmental targets and not against the civilian population.

Meanwhile, reports from the ground indicate that the Aurlinian Division which had been obstructing parliamentary activity and several major institutions suffered severe losses following strikes reportedly carried out by forces from New Woodlands.

The exact number of casualties remains unknown.

The statement claimed that the resulting confusion among Aurlinian authorities had further accelerated the breakdown of governmental functions in Londinium.

According to CPA sources, surviving Chongroan personnel within Aurlinia have established communications networks and are coordinating with advancing forces from Oakshade while awaiting the opening of secure supply corridors. They are doing this by using Facsimile machines and connecting the network up to the Central Military Commission in Pyongyang and the CPA HQ.

Military analysts estimate that the Oakshade operational force numbers between 150,000 and 200,000 personnel, including thousands of Special Operative Force troops assigned to strategic missions.

The Supreme Command called upon Aurlinian military personnel and public officials to refrain from further resistance and to avoid actions that could worsen the situation.

The Supreme Command concluded by affirming that the Chongroan People's Army would continue its operations until what it described as the restoration of stability, security and peaceful conditions throughout Aurlinia.
