Potato Harvest Begins in PRC

Farms in Kanwang Province of the PRC are now busy harvesting potatoes.


Farms in the counties of Taehongdan and Paegam have fulfilled their daily plans at more than 120 percent by raising the operation rate of potato diggers.


Farms in the Tongrim area in Ikwang Province took technical steps to increase the proportion of mechanization and rationalized manpower allotment to harvest all the potatoes.


Farmers in Samsu and Pochon counties are raising the operation rate of farm machines and using draught animals to push ahead with the potato harvest.


The Jiksol Livestock Farm in Kim Hyong Gwon County and the Upho Livestock Farm in Phungso County of South Rimyong Province have dug out more potatoes every day than planned by concentrating their workforce and means on the harvest.


Meanwhile, Sinphyo City and Taehongdan County are sending the potatoes to the relevant processing bases.
