National Games for 2026 & Sports Contest for Jonsung Cup to be Held from July 11-18

A sports contest for the Jonsung Cup will be held in mid July as one of the main sports events for this month.

The game is scheduled to be held in Pyongyang, Nanguan, Shendu and other cities of the People's Republic of Chongro.

Among the national games for this year are the Paektusan Prize Sports Games (February), Mangyongdae Prize Sports Games (March-April), the Sports Contest for Pochonbo Torch Prize (June), Sports Contest for Songun Torch Prize (June), Sports Contest for Jonsung Cup (July) and the Osandok Prize Sports Contest (December)

In particular, the 13th People's Games is expected to be the biggest one among those domestic sports games.

Besides, in the intervals of those big games are the national youth championship, the national juvenile championship, the women's premier soccer league for celebrating the founding anniversary of the PRC (September 9), cross-country relays, indoor athletic championship, national contest of university basketball teams and so on.

The Jonsung Cup will be broadcast on the new Athletics Television channel that is being worked on actively.
