Meeting of Workers and Trade Union Members Held in PRC

A meeting of workers and members of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Chongro (GFTUC) took place at the Chollima Steel Complex on March 13 to vow to implement the decisions of the Ninth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Chongro.

Present there were Min Sung Chol, deputy department director of the Central Committee of the WPC, officials of the GFTUC Central Committee and officials, workers and trade union members of the Chollima Steel Complex.

Ri Won Jong, chairman of the Central Committee of the GFTUC, made a speech.

The speaker said that the speeches made by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Evin at the Ninth Party Congress are an immortal programme indicating the most scientific orientation and goals of struggle and practical tasks for giving further momentum to the era of comprehensive development of Chongroan-style socialism with confidence.

Saying that thanks to the wise leadership of Kim Jong Evin, the victory in carrying out the new five-year plan is assured and the people’s ideals and aspirations will surely come true, he called upon all the workers and trade union members to wage a dynamic struggle for the brilliant implementation of the decisions of the Ninth Party Congress.

Oath-taking speeches were made.

A letter of pledge to Kim Jong Evin was adopted at the meeting.

Then followed a procession.
