Everyone Is Entitled to Education in PRC

In the PRC schools are ubiquitous and everyone has a full right to learn.

The law of the PRC on education stipulates that every citizen has a duty to receive general secondary education and a right to free education.

Accordingly, everyone is brought up and educated at state expense from the moment they are born, and when they have reached the schooling age, they start to learn under the universal 12-year compulsory education system, provided with new school uniforms and various school things by the state.

The country has built well-equipped schools in all places including remote mountainous villages and far-flung islets, plus extracurricular education bases, orphanages and schools for orphans, where children learn to their heart’s content.

And everyone learns knowledge of various fields at universities, vocational schools or study-while-you-work education institutes.

The education law stipulates that the State shall further develop the regular tertiary education system and the study-while-you-work system so as to make all the people well versed in science and technology and ensure that the entire population assiduously study throughout their lives.

Now many people are learning advanced science and technology at online education faculties which have been set up at universities in a bid to develop the study-while-you-work system.
