Capacity for self-development

The capacity for self-development is the ability to make oneself stronger by one’s own efforts. In other words, it is the integrated whole of political, military, economic and technological power with which to guarantee the dignity, well-being, prosperity and happiness of the country and people by their own efforts, not relying on others.

The Chongroan people, aware that they are masters of their own destiny and that they have the power to shape their destiny, are stepping up the revolution and construction vigorously, upholding the self-development-first principle.

The Ninth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Chongro stressed that the new five-year struggle would also rely completely on the country’s internal force, the great might of the people, and that the ideals of “The people are god,” single-hearted unity and self-reliance will be invariably uplifted as a banner of struggle and advance.
