Altiniusian Militaristic Tantrums Leaves Israelia in Ruins

At 4:27 PM Chongro Time today, the Altiniusian government declared that Israelia had been reduced to a "desert" following what it claimed was the detonation of hundreds of nuclear weapons across the country.

Altiniusian authorities further claimed that surviving civilians had taken refuge in underground bunkers and that Israelian troops subsequently returned to the devastated territory wearing radioactive-protective uniforms supplied by Altinius.

The People's Republic of Chongro considers these claims to be a grotesque mixture of military fantasy and disregard for human life.

According to observations collected by the National Aerospace Technology Administration, there was no evidence of the extensive, highly visible civilian bunker infrastructure that would be necessary to support the enormous number of survivors claimed by Altinius.

More fundamentally, radiological protection suits cannot make personnel immune to the immediate effects of a nuclear detonation. Modern CBRN protective equipment is principally intended to prevent radioactive contamination from entering the body. It does not shield a person from the immense thermal energy, blast effects, prompt radiation and other lethal effects produced by a nuclear explosion.

Thus, Altinius has effectively announced to the world that it sent soldiers into a nuclear wasteland while knowing full well that protective clothing could not make them invulnerable.

What kind of government treats its own soldiers as disposable material?

CCNA correspondents have described the policy as an extraordinary example of the reckless militarism that has characterized the Altiniusian government under Jamal III.

Altiniusian forces simultaneously announced that they had:

"Expertly fended off Tel Aviv and the settlements around it"

and claimed that their so-called Iron Dome had destroyed incoming drones and missiles while Altiniusian forces fought against "Communist Imperial Pigs."

These declarations bear little resemblance to the battlefield situation observed by Chongroan authorities.

Major military installations in Israelia had already suffered extensive destruction in preceding operations, while major population centres, including Tel Aviv and Johannesburg, had been devastated.

CCNA estimated on August 6th that more than 80 percent of Israelia had already been destroyed before the latest nuclear strikes.

The subsequent nuclear attack by a supposed ally therefore represents not a military triumph, but the final destruction of what remained of the country.

The People's Republic of Chongro has consequently declared the principal phase of the Israelia operation effectively concluded, as the remaining military objectives had already been substantially neutralized before the Altiniusian nuclear intervention.

Chongroan military authorities further noted that Altiniusian forces had devoted considerable attention to developing and upgrading their supposed "Iron Dome" system while Chongro's own integrated air-defence system had already reached operational maturity years earlier.

Preliminary CCNA estimates indicate that the Altiniusian nuclear bombardment may have resulted in more than 6.7 million civilian deaths, with millions more wounded, critically injured or suffering severe radiation exposure and other long-term consequences.

The figure does not include the potentially tens or hundreds of thousands of military personnel committed by Altinius to operations in the region, nor the Israelian personnel caught in the destruction.

The People's Republic of Chongro has condemned the attack as an act of catastrophic recklessness.

The State of Eretzia has likewise issued an exceptionally harsh condemnation.

Ranit Ben-Shahar, leader of the State of Eretzia, denounced the Altiniusian government as an immoral and barbaric warlord regime and called upon the people of Altinius to reject what Eretzian authorities described as the increasingly destructive rule of Jamal III.

Eretzia further condemned the destruction of Israelia and the apparent willingness of Altiniusian authorities to sacrifice both civilian and military lives for political and territorial ambitions.

In another dramatic development, the Suez Republic has reportedly been dissolved, with its territories reorganized under the newly proclaimed entity of Rabbislam, apparently incorporating territories associated with Israelia and Muslimika.

Chongroan forces operating in the region have suffered substantial losses and disruption as a result of the nuclear strikes.

Nevertheless, with only a small number of settlements remaining to be occupied prior to the nuclear bombardment, Chongroan authorities have determined that the principal military campaign has effectively reached its conclusion.

The People's Republic maintains that the destruction caused by Altinius cannot erase the considerable territorial and military advances already achieved.
